Our Principals

Dear Castroville Community, 

It is my privilege to be your incoming Principal for the 24-25 school year at Castroville Elementary School. I am excited and honored to be working alongside Administrator Mrs. Velasquez to continue providing rich learning opportunities for students. My goal is to ensure a smooth transition for all of you as we transition from Principal Lee’s six years of dedication and love. I am acquainted with many of you already, as I have worked closely with the Castroville staff and community over the past two years.I have served on North Monterey County’s District Ed Services team working with all the elementary schools and the middle school for the past two years. I have been in education for 24 years. It is important to me that we maintain two-way communication so that your input can help our team to understand how to best serve all of you. I will be holding two in-person Meet and Greets, as well as two online virtual meetings for those of you who cannot make it in person. At these Meet and Greets, I would like to hear from each of you, as well as for us to get to know each other. I plan to hold these meetings on August 1st and 2nd. The details are attached and you will receive a couple of reminders as we approach the date. In the meantime, my door is always open for you if you would like to meet. I remain committed to teaming with all of you so that our teachers and staff have everything needed to ensure each student’s needs are understood and that we provide the individual support to prepare your children for careers, college, and life. My top priority is that students connect to school and their peers, feel safe and happy, and grow fiercely interested in learning in order to find their passions and reach their full potential.
